About Us

Rebecca Wright (was Taylor) founded Taylor Made SEND Solutions in December 2025, following a career working in various roles across education and Local Authority education senior leadership.  Her passion is working alongside leadership teams in education, health and social care to find sustainable solutions to supporting children with SEND.

Rebecca completed her degree in English and Education Studies at Bishop Grosseteste University College, moving on to complete her PGCE in Secondary English at Edge Hill University. Rebecca retained her links with the university delivering guest lecture spots to future PGCE cohorts on the themes of phonics, early reading mastery and literacy across the curriculum as well as completing a specialist PGCE in Dyslexia and her National SENCO Award some years later through the same institution.

Since 2009, Rebecca has held her QTS and subsequently worked as a Secondary English teacher, leading intervention programmes of work to improve reading ages and in turn access to a broader curriculum for her students.  Rebecca has worked across all age phases, and in a range of different settings since qualifying, including Assistant Principal and SENCo in a large secondary school, and the role of a Deputy Headteacher in an all through special school.  For the last five and a half years Rebecca has worked as a senior leader in Children’s Services as the Head of SEND and Inclusion for a Local Authority.

Over the course of her career, Rebecca has also completed her National Professional Qualifications in Senior Leadership and Headship.  In addition to this, she has also undertaken a range of range of additional qualifications and courses over the years too, to enhance her own understanding and knowledge base.  This includes:

  • NSPCC Safeguarding children and young people with SEND
  • National Autistic Society Safeguarding Children on the Autistic Spectrum
  • Safeguarding Children and children’s palliative care
  • Level 2 Safeguarding supervision
  • Prevent
  • Data protection compliance GDPR
  • 12hr SCERTS model introduction and application
  • How to support children’s language in Early Years
  • Introduction to the BUSS model

Skills and knowledge

Sustainable solutions for children are never one-dimensional and not usually quick or easy.  Rebecca is skilled at bringing a range of partners together around a shared vision to deliver a project, transform a service or team approach, and ensure that all stakeholders feel part of and own the journey that they go on.

Thinking strategically and not afraid to be ‘outside the box’ over her career, Rebecca has introduced, developed, and simply transformed provision for children with emerging or identified SEND.  As a senior Local Authority leader, not only leading on a co-produced SENDAP Sufficiency strategy, but also being able to implement and deliver over £7million of projects to create a broader range of provision available locally in North East Lincolnshire for children with SEND is one of her greatest accomplishments to date.

Understanding the legal frameworks for SEND, attendance, exclusions, and the Ofsted framework for Local Area SENDAP inspections and being able to create training packages and information materials for a wide range of audiences is a skill that Rebecca is adept at.  This can ensure that all employees across an establishment or organisation have a full understanding of their roles and responsibilities towards creating effective provision for children and young people.

Rebecca is a professional, skilled and confident communicator who is an expert at facilitating co-production workshops and events, as well as chairing multi-stakeholder meetings and boards to ensure agendas are well timed, and remain on track.

Connecting schools, leaders and Trusts together with local, regional and national specialist accredited partners has brought a further level of integrity to the projects that she had led on at Local Authority level so that children and their families can have confidence in, and now has a wide professional network to signpost and refer to where appropriate.
